Couldn't determine what you mean by "Indian" . If you are referring to Native American, it would depend on which tribe you were looking up. The Dawes rolls is a good resource for members of what was referred to as the 5 Civilized tribes. As far as surnames is concerned many simply used the English equivalent of their name and use an English. Like John Two Rivers. Others where given names by Christian missionaries, still others never umed an English name and always used their Native American name, some of which were actually Spanish.
