What is "Maximum Supported RAM"?

Usually the Maximum supported RAM would be how much RAM you can actually install and get the computer to recognize and use. So even if the PC could physically fit 4 x 4GB RAM modules you may only be able to use a maximum of 8GB of RAM so the other 8GB would be useless.
