What to do with wet phone after rice?

So yesterday I jumped into a pool with my LG Fathom in my pocket. I realized immediately and got it out within like 6 seconds, took the battery out, and toweled it off as best I could. Then I left it in a bag of rice for the rest of the day and overnight. In the morning it wouldn't turn on, but I plugged it in and it said it was charging. I can turn it on while it is plugged in, but it only gets to the main screen the shuts off. I've read other people have had the same problem, but the phone was fine when they replaced the battery. Is that all I need, or am I screwed completely?
