Why is it so hard for people to fathom that not all babies are cute?

I just asked a related question and some women went ballistic. You want proof? Ad agencies dont just pick any baby, they have auditions and pick only the most good looking one i.e the cutest one. If all babies were cute they could just hire one blindly. Its not PC, but thats the truth. Could this be misdirected anger at themselves for having an ugly baby and deep down they know that.
