How to talk myself out of committing suicide?
That's a pretty serious step. There's lots of things to consider. I've always been able to find something I wanted to do tomorrow and day after and next month, next year and so on. I've always had some sort of goal, personal milestone I wanted to achieve. That's one of the things that keeps me going. If you wake up in the morning and can't think of anything to do or anything you want, that can be depressing. But then I'm way past 17 and when I think back to when I was that age I had dreams and hopes and ambitions. Certainly if you are feeling that depressed you should consider seeking counseling. Depending on what city you live in (or near), there are frequently low-cost counseling services available that can help. And talk with friends; ask them what they hope to do in their lives. If you could wave a magic want and change anything in your life, what would you change? Let me suggest to you that you can wave that magic want and you can be, and do, anything you want to be or do. Seriously. You can make your life whatever you want to make it. But you have to want to change and then change. Keep working at it and you can change anything about your life. Well, almost anything.
