HP Photosmart picture printing issues?

I have an HP Photosmart Plus and it sucks at printing pictures. I used my computer, I used another computer, I used a flashdrive, and an SD card too. None of my pictures come out good, they're faded and there are lines across them from what I fathom is from inside the printer. I don't like to get pictures developed (OCD thing), so any advice you can give me?
